New NC State TV Spot
Here is the latest TV spot created by LGA for rebranding of NC State. I think it’s an excellent spot and I’m really lucky to work with such a great group of talented people.

It’s been a while since I’ve written on here but I’ve been quite busy. After graduation, I moved to Charlotte, NC and started a full time job at Luquire George Andrews, a leading advertising, marketing and PR agency in the south east, as a new media designer. It’s going great and I really enjoy working with some of the best in the industry.
The new media team has been working on some great sites and I’ve been learning a great deal from everyone.
Some of the things we’ve been working on recently are using WordPress as a CMS, learning PHP, and really hitting HTML & CSS hard. Some of it has been quite challenging but I’m glad I’ve been learning it.
I’m going to try and write about new products and experiments in new media, as I feel it’s my job to contribute to the Internet world.
There are a few cool new products out there that our Technology Director has shown me that are pretty cool and showing where the world is going. First, there is Jott. It’s a service that allows you to record a message and select who you’d like to receive the message. It then translates tour speech into text and emails the recipients.
The second is Evernote, a program that acts as a memory bank. You can store pictures, text, web page captures etc. You can then search the stuff and Evernote will show you all related items. For images, it detects writing and letters, both written and printed.
What is even more cool is these programs can work together. For example, I think of a list of ideas for work and want to share my ideas with my coworkers. I use jott to record my message, and have that message sent to 3 other people as well as Evernote. 3 people get my message and so does evernote so that I can recall it later.
Finally, I’ve broke down and purchased a domain and some hosting. Setting up everything has been quite nerve racking, that’s for sure. Godaddy.com’s user interface would make any designer shiver. I’ve made almost 10 phone calls to them in the past 24 hours just trying to get everything set up. And to top it all off, the email server that my email address is on has been down for the past two days. What joy. Let’s just hope this will be the last of my problems.
As for the site, www.timmaiura.com, all I have up currently is just a splash page. I’ll be working on the design and coding of the site within the next few days to get it done asap. I’d like to have everything done by early February.
I’ll definitely be posting on here a good amount with topics such as music, design + inspiration, school work, as well as random stuff.
Feel free to comment on anything, as I’d love for people to share their input.
